Perfect, Pretty, Pressure

If you've scrolled through your phone tonight, kids finally down, kitchen still a disaster,

and felt that familiar drop in your stomach looking at someone else's highlight reel, I want you to know something first: you are not failing. You are just looking at a showreel and comparing it to your behind-the-scenes.

We all do it. We open the app for two minutes of escape and instead we get someone else's home-cooked dinner, someone else's beach holiday, someone else's kids sitting angelically at the table. And without even meaning to, we measure our messy Tuesday against their curated Sunday.

Here's the truth nobody posts: everyone is carrying something. The mum with the beautiful kitchen might be hanging on by a thread too. We just don't see that part.

What's actually going on for most of us?

It's messy. Kids are fighting, kids are sick, or both, usually at the worst possible moment. We're crazy-busy and never have enough hours. Money is tight more often than we admit. We're tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. This is a genuinely hard season of life, not because you're doing it wrong, but because it is hard.

And then there's pretty. All made up, put together, filtered. I think a lot of us wear it as armour, we can be falling apart on the inside and still need to look like we've got it together, just to get through the school drop-off. The trouble is, filters and trends have quietly rewritten what we think we're supposed to look like. Frown lines, softness, a face that's simply aged, somewhere along the way that started to feel like something to hide.

I don't know when getting older became something to be ashamed of. But I do know we need to find away back to seeing the person in front of us, including ourselves, instead of jumping straight to judgment.

This is exactly why we built the spaces we did

THE places to come as you are.

Brave, Not Perfect.

So women can stop performing and just tell the truth for an hour.

Unfiltered

No filter, no highlight reel, just us

Coffee & Connect

Low-key, no showreel required, just a cuppa and a real conversation.

HERtreat

A whole weekend of women showing up as they actually are, not as they think they should look. Not the polished version, not the showreel — the real you.

If you're in a messy season right now, you don't need to fix yourself before you come and find us. Come un-showered, un-filtered, un-fine. That's who Women of the Murray are for.

With gratitude,

Kimberley
