CHELSEA WILSON - Tocumwal , owner of Chelsea Jane Photography
Heyo! I’m Chels – chaotic, creative, camera-obsessed, and proud owner of Chelsea Jane Photography.
I’ve been doing this photography thing for over 11 years now, and honestly? It started with a camera, a lot of feelings, and me taking self-portraits - a place I felt totally free to be myself. It was my outlet when I didn’t feel understood - and it slowly turned into my way of understanding the world and helping others feel seen too.
I studied a Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Photography) at Uni, but for me, photography was never just a skill. It’s always been how I express myself, how I connect, and how I make sense of the world. It’s how I see and celebrate all the beautiful, raw, quirky, real parts that make us human.
I’ve had anxiety for as long as I can remember & being around people never came easy. I was bullied, often misunderstood, and always felt like the odd one out. Over time, I learned to embrace the way I experience the world — and being diagnosed with AuDHD later in life was honestly just the icing on the cake It made a lot of things click, but deep down, I already knew I was wired for connection, creativity, and chaos (in the best way).
Now? I bring all of that into my photography. Whether I’m working with kids, families, couples, or businesses - I want people to feel safe to be their absolute true selves. To let go of pressure. To laugh too loud. To wear the weird outfit. To bring their dogs. To make magic in the mess. Because honestly, that’s what makes the best photos.
So here’s to the ones who don’t fit the mould. The creatives. The misfits. The big-hearted, overstimulated, daydreamy, anxious, sensory-loving legends out there trying to find their place in the world. You’ve already got one with me.
Let’s make some art. Let’s tell your story. Let’s be unapologetically real
